About Us
Behind the Name
In ancient times, a large, bronze automaton was forged by the god Hephaestus. Named Talos, he was given to the first King of Crete, who set it to circle the island three times a day and hurl rocks at approaching ships. Talos was powered by Ichor, which ran in a single vein, from its neck to its heel, and kept in by a bronze nail. It was the Ichor that gave this first robot its ability to think and move.
In the spirit of this enabling liquid, at Ichor Autonomy we strive to automate the immobile and generate useful machines for the problems of man.
Simulation
Simulate before you build. Exercise up to 90% of the autonomy stack prior to hardware integration.
Perception and Autonomy
Perception driven autonomy, GPS - agnostic and denied environments. Complex decision making and safe navigation in unstructured environments
Robotics
Hardware development and sensor integration for secure deployment of autonomy in remote locations
