Ichor Autonomy is an innovative company focusing on enabling embedded autonomy for robotic devices in challenging environments.
Our small team is rapidly growing and we need the expertise of one who is capable of taking embedded software, mechanical and electronic hardware concepts and rapidly prototyping to prove out concepts for testing. The ideal candidate has a passion and demonstrated experience in building and prototyping embedded devices. They should be comfortable integrating with existing systems and to achieve a novel functionality. The role will be highly rewarding, focusing on rapid iteration from concept to manufacture, and enable working with a variety of technologies. These technologies include integration of high power compute modules, sensors and actuators.
Your duties will include:
Working with the internal team and external partners to enhance products and test product concepts.
Provide embedded hardware and software design and engineering.
Assessing and selecting potential technologies to achieve the capabilities required.
Planning development priorities for project deliveries.
Conduct engineering analysis to understand root cause of failures.
Eligibility
Experience in embedded electronic design experience including the use of CAD, CAM software
Experience in mechanical design of embedded systems including the use of CAD, CAM software
Track record of project delivery, these may include personal projects that demonstrate excellent hacking and rapid iteration.
Good understanding, and experience in C/C++ and Python development.
Exposure and understanding of embedded linux environments.
Must be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance.
