SPURT flying through the natural environment

With a holiday season of development, Ichor Autonomy’s Small UAS for Penetrating Urban Terrain (SPURT) has demonstrated much more robust performance in handling complicated natural environments. There have been major improvements in nearly all sub-systems to enable excellent performance in natural environments. This makes urban exploration more robust too, as as it is typically an easier environment to work in.

With no preparation, SPURT can confidently fly through medium thickness Australian Bush, typically of acacia and vines, to perform the wide variety of autonomous tasks that it currently can perform in urban environments. The video below has been sped up three times for brevity.
